A considerable amount of time and effort has been invested into planning the Gairdner High School Symposium. To ensure we are providing you with a valuable experience that meets your expectations, we do have expectations of you as well. Please take a moment to acknowledge all of the following:(Required)

I understand that if registered, I will need to make arrangements to be at the BC Children’s Hospital in-person on the morning of Monday, October 20, 2025. This includes making arrangements to miss the morning of classes and finding transportation to and from the venue.

I understand that for my own safety I must meet the minimum requirements for Personal Protective Equipment, which includes wearing pants (skirts, shorts, long socks, nylons, and leggings are not appropriate).

I understand that BC Children’s Hospital is a working healthcare research facility. I am comfortable around a variety of samples and specimens that may be found in a clinical laboratory environment, which includes biological specimens such as tissues, fluids or blood.

If I am registered for this event but can no longer attend, I will notify the organization team at jshum@cmmt.ubc.ca to give my spot to another student.

For in-person participation

I understand that it is my responsibility to arrange any missed classes on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 9:15 am to 10:45 am.

I understand that is is my responsibility to arrange for access to a computer, tablet or smartphone and a stable internet connection to watch the lecture online.
