News PFOND Project Launched in Beta-testing January 31st, 2012
PFOND is an online system intended to promote the sharing of information about research, treatment and resources for rare genetic disorders. The project's goal is to provide a system that allows volunteers to summarize information about disorders, manage online discussion forums, highlight breaking research news and identify global experts. Event CMMT Scientific Symposium: Frontiers of Genetic Medicine November 7th, 2011

In 2011, as part of CMMT’s 15 year anniversary celebrations, we are hosting the first CMMT Scientific Symposium on Monday, November 7, 2011, at 9:00 am - 6:30 pm, at the Child & Family Research Institute (map).

On Tuesday, November 1, 2011 Genome BC will be hosting Dr. Leroy Hood as the keynote speaker for the 2nd annual Don Rix Distinguished Keynote Address.

The advancement, application and acceptance of personalized medicine is imperative to meet the challenges in the 21st century’s diverse healthcare needs. Your DNA, the ‘code of all codes,’ is the key to “Proactive P4 Medicine (predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory).” This is not science fiction, it is science fact.
