Position Summary

We are seeking applications for Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Fellows in Pharmacogenomics research. Successful candidates will join the Canadian Pharmacogenomics Network for Drug Safety (CPNDS) to identify the genetic determinants of severe adverse drug reactions (ADRs). CPNDS is an energetic, nation-wide, multidisciplinary consortium of researchers and clinicians from hospitals, universities, and research institutes that was established to improve drug safety. CPNDS has catalyzed national and international collaborations and established an active surveillance network to identify patients that have suffered severe ADRs across Canada. The research program applies innovative, large-scale genotyping and sequencing strategies to identify ADR causal genes and develop diagnostic tests for safer personalized medicine. CMMT includes outstanding infrastructure support and core facilities.

Qualifications

Graduate student candidates must possess a strong background in genetics, pharmacology, or related field. Successful post-doctoral candidates must hold a Ph.D. in genetics, pharmacology, or related field and possess up-to-date knowledge of genomics scientific tools and technologies.
